Oysters from the Limfjord at the Culinary World Cup 2010
The Danish national team of chefs used oysters from the Limfjord, which were sponsored by Vilsund Trading A/S, when they competed at the Culinary World Cup in Luxemburg from the 19th to the 25th of November 2010. The oysters where used in a delicious combination with turbot in green shades with own cream and truffles. The supreme efforts of the team secured them a very impressive silver medal, which was only six points from being a gold medal on a scale, where it takes 90 out of 100 points to get gold. Since the Limfjord Oyster has high values of iodine, zinc, selenium as well as a high content of A and B12 vitamins they are not only delicate, but they also match the national team´s values of healthiness, responsibility and sustainability.
